Johanna Kim spends most of her day in her Portland, Oregon studio working to make picture books with strong stories, interesting characters, deep emotion, and endings that feel like sipping hot cocoa with marshmallows on a wintry night. She has illustrated 3 children's books by author Patrick T. McBriarty, and is currently writing and illustrating her own stories.
Her usual tools include the following:
- Traditional: Watercolor, gouache, pencil, ink, acrylic
- Digital: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
